The Neighbourhood Plan comprises the following stages:
West Lavington Neighbourhood Plan Consultation (Regulation 14)
The Neighbourhood Plan was previously published for statutory consultation as the Pre-Submission draft in accordance with Regulation 14 of Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012.
The draft Neighbourhood Plan was published for public consultation for a period of 7 weeks from Friday 24th November 2017 to Friday 12th January 2018.
A Neighbourhood Plan is an important tool for local communities to shape the development and growth of the parish, in this case over the next 9 years or so until 2026. Once adopted any planning application in the parish will be judged against the Neighbourhood Plan. It is an important part of the process that we keep the community informed and seek the views of various people at each stage.
In November 2015 the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group undertook Issues consultation on the first draft of the Plan which involved liaison with Wiltshire Council, statutory consultees, local organisations and local residents.
Following that consultation the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group have reviewed all responses received and have put together the Draft Plan for its first public statutory consultation. It includes four themed sections: Growth; Infrastructure, Services and Facilities; Built Environment; and Natural Environment, for consultation.
These are all issues that are important to the community and within each section policies are included to guide the development and use of land. Each Policy contains an introduction and explanatory text followed by the Policy itself in coloured text.
The following documents have been published by West Lavington Parish Council:

In addition to the 3 documents that form the 'Neighbourhood Plan' the Parish Council also published at that time a number of supporting documents:
